Founder and Creator of Excell Aerofab: Al Hoye
Al and his wife Sheryl started Excell back in 1998 with big goals and dreams. They started with just a few employees and a couple of Aerospace customers. In 6 months they grew out of the first small building, 5 years later moved out of their second building, and have now been in our current building for 20 years. Al always valued his employees and helped them in any way he could. He enjoyed the comradery of the machining world as well as using his engineering knowledge to problem-solve and improve processes.
Al served in the Coast Guard straight out of high school for 10 years and earned his Bachelor's in Business Administration after his service. Al was a wonderful husband, dog dad to Dolly and Bernie, and a passionate fisherman. Al lost his battle with cancer in June of 2020 and is survived by his family, who has courageously stepped up to take over Excell. We all know he would be proud of the feats we've accomplished since his passing and we miss him dearly.
